260,000 gravity observations from approximately 300 surveys were compiled by BMR to produce the 1976 1:5,000,000 Gravity Map of Australia. The data includes reconnaissance gravity coverage of the continent and preliminary values from marine surveys of the continental shelf and margins. Computer processing for the map took about four months using a CDC Cyber 76 system, followed by three months of cartography.
Geoscience Australia Data documents sedimentological analyses from three research cruises conducted between 1985 and 1988 off southwest Victoria and Tasmania. The record includes grain size, calcium carbonate (CaCO3), and total organic carbon (TOC) analyses performed on samples taken from 43 to 54 cores per cruise. The work aimed to model sedimentation on the continental margin and interpret changes in the depositional environment over time.
Geophysical traverses and sediment cores from the Atlantis II research vessel provide information on sedimentary and tectonic processes in the northeast Indian Ocean. The dataset includes isopach maps of sediment thickness, evidence of diapirs, and a diverse collection of core samples such as siliceous clays, calcareous oozes, and manganese nodules. Data was published by Geoscience Australia and last updated on 2026-04-30.
Data from the 1970s onward, this compilation contains gravity, magnetic, and bathymetry ship-track line data from Geoscience Australia and other institutions. The data has been levelled to reduce mismatches between surveys of various vintages, allowing integration into continuous surfaces. The final data were reviewed and released by Geoscience Australia.
Aptian-age marine mollusc fossils from the Mount Samuel area in central Western Australia, consisting of six genera and seven species. The collection is published by Geoscience Australia and suggests the existence of seaways connecting the Great Artesian Basin and Dampier Peninsula during the Cretaceous period. The data is presented in document formats like PDF and HTML.
Monthly mean ocean surface physical and biogeochemical data simulated by the South Atlantic Bight and Gulf of America (SABGOM) model on a 5-km grid from 2005 to 2010. The dataset includes variables such as salinity, temperature, dissolved inorganic carbon, partial pressure of CO2, air-sea CO2 flux, surface currents, and primary production. This coupled model output from ORNL_CLOUD is designed for studying gulf-wide circulation and biochemical cycling.
A synopsis of a regional study on the southern Georgina Basin, a 325,000 km2 sedimentary basin in Australia. The data package includes reprocessed HyLogging mineralogical data from 25 wells, integrated with wireline logs, biostratigraphy, total organic carbon, and X-ray diffraction measurements. The work was conducted by Geoscience Australia's Onshore Energy Systems Group, with a synopsis last updated in 2026.
2007 to 2009 marine surveys in Jervis Bay, New South Wales, collected this species-level data on benthic infauna. Geoscience Australia acquired the data using the RV Kimbla, focusing on a 3x5 km grid and additional habitat transects. The dataset is a sample/species matrix derived from Van Veen grab samples.
Deep seismic reflection data from the SNOWS-3 survey, a marine geoscience program conducted in 1993. The survey was designed to acquire at least 3000 km of seismic lines to determine the deep crustal structure of the southern North West Shelf's offshore Canning Basin. The data were collected by the Australian Geological Survey Organisation (AGSO) to provide a regional framework for hydrocarbon exploration.
Geoscience Australia Data provides a scientific report on the origins of sulphide in sedimentary ore deposits. The description discusses biological and hydrothermal formation processes, referencing specific deposits like McArthur River and Mount Isa in Australia's Northern Territory. The dataset was last updated on 2026-04-30.
North Queensland's Cairns-Townsville hinterland, covering 35,000 square miles, was mapped from 1956 to 1959. The data describes the geological history of the Georgetown Shield and the adjacent Tasman Geosyncline, including sediment thicknesses and igneous intrusions. It was published by Geoscience Australia Data.
Elemental concentration measurements for calcium, manganese, iron, copper, and zinc in wheat grain samples from diverse genotypes. The data includes values from both energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) and microwave plasmaโatomic emission spectrometer (MP-AES) reference methods. It was authored by Emily Klarquist and last updated on 2026-04-22.
Four ASCII data files contain carbon isotope signatures from soil organic matter, roots, and soil gases. Samples were collected from three Brazilian Amazon sites: the ZF-2 INPA reserve, Tapajos National Forest, and Fazenda Vitoria ranch. The dataset is managed by ORNL_CLOUD.
A case study by Maria Lindรฉn analyzes resistance to electoral manipulation in the United States between the 2020 and 2024 elections. The dataset, last updated in April 2026, includes a 442.8 KB collection of files in PDF and XLSX formats. It applies and develops frameworks for categorizing resisting actors and their strategies.
Approximately 750 million measurements of sea level, wave height, and wind speed were collected by the US Navy's GEOSAT radar altimeter over nearly five years. The dataset contains Sensor, Geodetic, Waveform, and Crossover Difference records from both the non-repeating Geodetic Mission and the 17-day repeat Exact Repeat Mission. Parameters include time, orbit, latitude/longitude, and sea surface height, with corrections applied for tides, troposphere, ionosphere, and other geophysical effects.
NASA's G-LiHT airborne imaging system collects data over forest communities and ecoregions in North America, including the Conterminous United States, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. The Digital Terrain Model product provides LiDAR-derived bare earth elevation, aspect, and slope at a nominal 1-meter spatial resolution, processed as Google Earth overlay KML files. Data collection began in 2011 and continues to grow with new aerial campaigns.
G-LiHT's Digital Terrain Model (GLDTMT) provides LiDAR-derived bare earth elevation, aspect, and slope data on the EGM96 Geopotential Model. NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center began collecting this data over locally-defined areas in 2011, with coverage across the Conterminous United States, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. The data is processed as a raster GeoTIFF at a nominal 1-meter spatial resolution.
Over a decade of parcel sales data from Nova Scotia, starting July 2010, includes address, sale price, and date for each transaction. The dataset is provided by Property Valuation Services Corporation for mass appraisal functions. Records are updated regularly, with a last known update in April 2026.
