Sounders SIPS: Suomi NPP CrIMSS Level 3 Specific Quality Control Gridded Monthly CHART Normal Spectral Resolution V1 is a satellite-derived dataset providing a full atmospheric state characterization. It applies the Climate Heritage AIRS Retrieval Technique (CHART) algorithm to data from the CrIS and ATMS instruments aboard the Suomi NPP satellite. The resulting monthly, one-degree gridded product includes surface temperature, atmospheric profiles of temperature, water vapor, and ozone, cloud properties, outgoing longwave radiation, and precipitation estimates.
Bass Strait, Australia, is the focus of a study investigating the potential impacts of marine seismic surveys on scallops. The dataset likely contains results from three field-based methods: dredging surveys, Autonomous Underwater Vehicle imagery, and MODIS satellite-derived sea surface temperature data from 2006 to 2016. The study was conducted by researchers including Rachel Przeslawski and published in Marine Pollution Bulletin in 2018.
TRMM_3A12 provides global monthly averages of surface precipitation and vertical hydrometeor content. The dataset includes 28 vertical layers of cloud liquid water, rain, ice, snow, graupel, and latent heating on a 0.5 x 0.5 degree grid. These data are derived from the TRMM Microwave Imager and represent a climatological product for atmospheric and climate research.
Seven coastal monitoring stations provide estimates of long-term sea surface temperature change from 1935 to 2014. The dataset includes annual and seasonal estimates of temperature change per century and statistical significance for each station. This analysis supports the British Columbia climate change indicator published by Environmental Reporting BC.
1895 to 1996 long-term data compiled for Phase 1 of the Vegetation Ecosystem Modeling and Analysis Project. The database contains model-generated and compiled datasets of climate, soils, vegetation, and climate change scenarios for the conterminous United States. Data are provided on a 0.5-degree latitude by 0.5-degree longitude grid.
British Columbia glacier data includes estimates of ice coverage area for 1985 and 2005 in square kilometers, percent area change from 1985 to 2005, and glacier volume loss rate from 1985 to 2000 in cubic kilometers per year. The data is provided for the province as a whole and for each of its seven terrestrial ecoprovinces containing glaciers. This dataset supports an indicator published by Environmental Reporting BC and the Government of British Columbia.
1910-2014 sea level change analysis for British Columbia, Canada. The dataset provides annual estimates of long-term change in millimeters per year and statistical significance for four monitoring stations. It was published by the Government of British Columbia in the 2015-16 Indicators of Climate Change report, using data from Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
232 Chinese cities are covered in this high-resolution assessment of heatwave-related mortality from ischemic heart disease, stroke, and COPD between 2001 and 2035. The dataset, authored by Jiaming Xia and last updated in April 2026, projects the potential impact of increased urban green coverage on reducing ambient temperatures and preventing annual deaths under future climate scenarios.
High-resolution precipitation observations from a network of 25 automatic rain gauges in the Da-Tun Mountain region of northern Taiwan. The dataset provides continuous 1-minute rainfall measurements from June 2009 to December 2023, with derived 10-minute, hourly, daily, and monthly products. It was created by Lin-Wen Cheng and accompanies a Scientific Data manuscript.
Environment and Climate Change Canada provides data on ambient concentrations of fine particulate matter and other pollutants at national, regional, and urban levels. The Canadian Environmental Sustainability Indicators program tracks performance on key environmental issues, offering information via maps, charts, and downloadable data tables. The dataset was last updated on 2026-04-28.
Ashmore Reef, a tropical marine reserve on Australia's North-west Shelf, has had its regional, lagoonal, and well water qualities observed since 1991, with an intensive program from 1999. The data includes sea surface temperatures ranging from 25.48°C to 30.2°C, salinity from 34.51 to 34.75, and details on a freshwater lens yielding up to 150,000 liters per year. The dataset is provided by Geoscience Australia and was last updated in April 2026.
FLUXNET flux tower measurements from the Ridgefield site, established in January 2015 and located approximately 12km west of Pingelly, Western Australia. The data were processed using PyFluxPro and ONEFlux software to produce gap-filled products for Net Ecosystem Exchange (NEE), Gross Primary Productivity (GPP), and Ecosystem Respiration (ER). This release is part of the FLUXNET Shuttle project and is managed by The University of Western Australia.
ANACONDAS research studied the Amazon River plume's effect on carbon and nitrogen cycling in the western tropical North Atlantic. Fieldwork onboard the RV Knorr measured stations along a salinity gradient from 16 to 36 ppt. The dataset is managed by NASA and was last updated in March 2026.
ACTIVATE-MODIS-MERRA2 is a merged CERES MODIS and MERRA-2 dataset produced by the SatCORPS group at NASA Langley Research Center. It provides pixel-level geostationary cloud products to support the ACTIVATE field campaign, which studied aerosol-cloud-meteorology interactions over the western North Atlantic. The dataset is derived from 150 coordinated aircraft flights conducted across six deployments from 2020 to 2022.
Version 07 is the current version of this NASA TRMM dataset, superseding older versions. The dataset provides monthly spectral latent heating profiles derived from TRMM Precipitation Radar (PR) information, including precipitation-top height, surface and melting-level precipitation rates, and rain type. Heating profiles are selected from lookup tables generated from TOGA COARE cloud-resolving model simulations for convective, shallow stratiform, and anvil rain types.
