Australian waters in the Adolphus Channel to Great North East Channel region were surveyed for bathymetry between 16 November 2023 and 8 February 2024. The survey was conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office by PHS under the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program. Data was acquired using Kongsberg multibeam sonar and processed into a 30-meter resolution GeoTIFF grid.
A section of the Two-Way Route from Abbot Point through Hydrographers Passage, Queensland, was surveyed for bathymetric data. The survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office by iXblue Pty Ltd onboard the RV Escape between 6 October 2020 and 16 March 2021. Data was processed into a 30-meter resolution, 32-bit floating point GeoTIFF grid.
A 30-meter resolution bathymetric grid of the Lord Mayor Shoal to Pitt Shoals area in Australia, acquired between 1 October and 30 November 2023. The survey was conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office using a Kongsberg EM2040 MKII multibeam echosounder and processed with CARIS HIPS and SIPS software. Data is provided as a 32-bit floating point GeoTIFF and is explicitly not for navigational purposes.
Multivariate statistical analysis of groundwater geochemistry from the Cambrian Limestone Aquifer in Australia's Georgina Basin. The study, conducted by Geoscience Australia researchers and published in 2025, developed a new geochemical index (Phos#) and identified five prospective areas for phosphate and Zn-Pb mineralization.
Geoscience Australia's dataset contains a 30-meter resolution bathymetric grid of the Great North East Channel (South-West) in Torres Strait, Queensland. The data was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office by EGS Survey Pty. Ltd. between 26 January and 13 April 2022, using Kongsberg EM2040 multibeam sonar systems. Processed with QPS Qimera software, the final product is a 32-bit floating point GeoTIFF.
A 30-meter resolution bathymetric grid of the seafloor in Clarence Strait to Dundas Strait, Australia. The survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office between 4 July and 9 September 2023 using Kongsberg EM2040 multibeam sonar systems. Data was processed with QIMERA and BeamworX AutoClean software and exported as a 32-bit floating point GeoTIFF.
Maryland environmental data tracks reported sewer overflows from February 10th, 2023 onward. The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) collects reports from public sewer system owners and operators. Reported details include overflow location, cause, duration, and estimated discharge volume.
A 30-meter resolution bathymetric grid covers the seafloor east of Newcastle, New South Wales. The survey was conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office by Guardian Geomatics aboard the MV Offshore Guardian between 4 December 2020 and 15 January 2021. Data was acquired with a Kongsberg EM 2040-07 multibeam echosounder and processed using Caris Hips & Sips software.
A morphological character matrix used for total-evidence phylogenetic analyses of hamsters. The Nexus file was authored by Moritz Dirnberger and published under a CC-BY-4.0 license on figshare in May 2026. The dataset is 23.8 KB in size.
Australia's Geoscience Australia collaborated with the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) for this case study. The project investigates options for providing precise global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) positioning at the AIMS Marine Operations Centre. It explores the suitability, benefits, and challenges of using Positioning Australia products, including Ginan.
Australia's first national-scale mineral potential map for high purity quartz, generated by Geoscience Australia. The model supports the discovery of rare high purity silica deposits, which are critical for semiconductors and solar cells. This work was presented at the 2024 AusIMM Critical Minerals Conference.
A small estuary on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia, contains a suite of observed tool marks. The marks were formed by wind dragging Eucalyptus leaves and Casuarina fronds over backshore sands. This dataset, from Geoscience Australia, highlights the potential for misidentification of these marks as biological trace fossils in the sedimentary record.
INSPIRE Download Service provides geospatial data for construction planning in the city of Rauschenberg, part of the Marburg-Biedenkopf district. The data is served via a dynamically generated ATOM feed from the Bundesamt fΓΌr Kartographie und GeodΓ€sie. The last update date recorded in the metadata is 1970-01-01.
Canadian railway industry property accounts, summarizing assets and accumulated amortization for mainline companies. The dataset includes balances at the beginning and end of the year, accumulated amortization, and net book value for Canadian National, Canadian Pacific, and VIA Rail. It is published by Statistics Canada and was last updated on 2026-04-28.
Statistics Canada provides annual balance sheet data for the mainline railway industry. The dataset includes totals for assets, liabilities, and shareholders' equity for Canadian National, Canadian Pacific, and VIA Rail. It was last updated on 2026-04-28 and is available in XML, CSV, and HTML formats under the OGL-CA-2.0 license.
A collection of global satellite-derived data products from the MODIS/Aqua instrument. The data includes daily cloud-free snow cover, sea ice extent, and ice surface temperature, processed to Level-2 and Level-3. The data is provided in a 500m sinusoidal grid and 1km EASE-Grid projections under a CC-BY-4.0 license.
Nimbus 7 Narrow Field of View Maximum Likelihood Cloud Estimation data provides daily and monthly means of Earth Radiation Budget parameters on two equal-area world grids. The data were reprocessed in 1990 using an MLCE algorithm from scanner measurements taken primarily between May 1979 and May 1980. The dataset also includes ocean surface wind speed, water vapor, and liquid water data from the SMMR instrument, processed by Remote Sensing Systems.
