Sediment oxygen demand measurements from the upper 2 cm of seabed sediments in the eastern Joseph Bonaparte Gulf. The data were collected during two marine surveys, SOL4934 and SOL5117, conducted in 2009 and 2010 in collaboration with the Australian Institute of Marine Science and other research bodies. The purpose was to support biophysical mapping and identify geohazards and sensitive environments for offshore infrastructure planning.
Geoscience Australia Data provides a nannofossil study of samples dredged during BMR Survey 66 in the Great Australian Bight Basin. The dataset compares offshore Maastrichtian, Eocene, and Oligocene assemblages with onshore sequences to interpret the geological history of Australia's southern margin. It provides evidence for marine ingressions, sea-level changes, and the influence of a proto-Leeuwin Current.
Esso Gippsland Shelf No. 1 was Australia's first offshore well, drilled to a total depth of 8701 feet between December 1964 and June 1965. The well, drilled by Esso Exploration Australia, Inc., discovered a 353-foot gas column in the Eocene Latrobe Valley Coal Measures. This historical report documents the drilling operation, lithology, and production tests, including gas flow rates up to 6.85 MMcf/D.
Bangladesh refugee feedback data collected by UNHCR in Cox's Bazar in September 2020. The Post-Distribution Monitoring survey assesses the quality, sufficiency, and effectiveness of a pilot cash assistance program. It was designed with built-in COVID-19 prevention measures.
247.7 KB of research data profiling the phytochemicals and pharmacological properties of Symphyotrichum squamatum. The study, authored by Mohammed Hassan and uploaded to figshare in April 2026, isolated four compounds and identified 35 metabolites via LC/MS, quantifying phenolics and flavonoids. It evaluates antioxidant, cytotoxic, antidiabetic, and anti-inflammatory activities with supporting molecular docking results.
Release Area W11-18 is a large offshore block covering parts of the Abrolhos, Houtman and Vlaming sub-basins. Geoscience Australia assessed its petroleum prospectivity using data from fourteen new field wildcat wells drilled since 2001 and new regional 2D seismic data from a 2008-2009 survey. The assessment includes a refined tectono-stratigraphic model and identifies three petroleum discoveries within the area.
OsIDD9 transcription factor data from a study identifying its role as a negative regulator of rice crown root development. The dataset, 10.9 KB in size, was authored by Yuanyuan Yang and last updated on April 13, 2026. It contains genetic, biochemical, and molecular evidence from over-expression and knockout lines.
A 2.1 MB DOCX file containing supplementary data for a study on renal fibrosis. The research, authored by Xin Jiang and last updated in April 2026, investigates the FGFR1/YAP1 signaling axis in endothelial cells using human kidney samples, a UUO mouse model, and in vitro HUVEC experiments. The study employs genetic, pharmacological, and biochemical techniques to propose a novel therapeutic target for chronic kidney disease.
A 2019 review by Hayes et al. analyzes the objectives of Australia's Marine Park network and the types of questions and data analysis needed to address them. The work critically considers how monitoring program design influences the ability to answer these questions, using the Evidence Based Decision Making paradigm's strength of evidence hierarchy. It was published in Frontiers in Marine Science.
Geoscience Australia and the Australian Institute of Marine Science conducted a marine survey of the Leveque Shelf in May 2013. The survey aimed to find evidence of gas or fluid seepage and map seabed habitats to assess the area's potential for long-term CO2 storage. This interpretative report addresses key questions about the containment potential and regional integrity of geological formations for CO2 storage.
10-meter resolution raster grids predict the weight percentage of seabed gravel, mud, and sand across eight areas in the Australian Timor Sea. The dataset supersedes previous predictions with improved accuracy, showing validation efficiencies of 71% for mud, 72% for sand, and 42% for gravel. It was produced by the National Environmental Science Program Marine Biodiversity Hub and published in 2018.
Australia's marine jurisdiction covers over 10 million square kilometres, with only an estimated 25% of its seafloor mapped to adequate resolution. The AusSeabed program, founded three years ago, is a cross-sector collaborative effort to coordinate ocean mapping and address data acquisition, quality, and delivery challenges. This dataset likely contains collated seabed mapping data integrated with other marine data types from previously isolated holdings.
Geospatial data layers represent the core infrastructure of electrical transmission lines for planning purposes. The dataset includes concrete base structures and suspended aerial cables symbolized between pylons. It is provided by the Government and Municipalities of Québec and was last updated in March 2026.
Landgate provides vectorised boundaries for the Dizzy Lamb theme park from 1985. The data is part of a collection documenting Western Australia's iconic 1980s theme parks, extracted from archival sources for Heritage Week. It is offered alongside aerial photography available through a separate catalogue link.
Vectorised boundaries for the Adventure World theme park as it existed in 1983, extracted from archival sources by Landgate for Western Australian Heritage Week. The dataset provides a historical footprint of the iconic site, which may be compared to its modern or modified state. Specific row and column counts are not provided.
Vectorised boundaries for the Elizabethan Village theme park in Western Australia from 1981. The dataset was created by Landgate from archival aerial imagery for WA Heritage Week. It is part of a collection documenting iconic 1980s theme parks.
Vectorized boundaries for the Kalamunda Wet And Wild theme park from 1983, extracted from archival aerial imagery by Landgate. The data is part of a collection documenting Western Australia's iconic 1980s theme parks, many of which have since been modified or fallen into ruin.
Vectorised boundaries for the Mandurah Castle Fun Park, an iconic Western Australian theme park from the 1980s. Landgate extracted this archival data for WA Heritage Week, providing a historical snapshot of the park's layout.
