A 3D electron backscatter diffraction dataset captures the alpha and beta phase orientations in a model Zircaloy-4 with 7 wt.% Nb alloy after hot-rolling. The data comprises 441 sequential slices, each 0.1 μm thick, measured using a plasma focused ion-beam scanning electron microscope. Christopher Stuart Daniel from the University of Manchester created this dataset, which is accompanied by a 3D reconstruction and analysis published in Acta Materialia in 2021.
Data includes multiple file formats (ctf, binary, Aztec project, h5ebsd, xdmf) and requires specialized software like DREAM.3D or ParaView for full utilization.
