Glacier Hazard Potential Analysis for Swiss Alps

A project developed techniques for detecting glacier hazard potentials using optical spaceborne remote sensing data and GIS modeling. The work integrated empirical models for hazard assessment and was closely related to the Swiss Glacier Inventory 2000 and the GLIMS international project. The research was conducted by SCIOPS.
