Eight instrumented sites, provisionally called LANDNET, are designated as CEOS Reference Test Sites for sensor calibration. The Negev site in Southern Israel is used for field campaigns to obtain radiometric gain and facilitate international instrument inter-comparison. The data is maintained by the USGS Long Term Archive (LTA) under the Committee on Earth Observing Systems (CEOS) framework.
