Antarctic coastal waters in Marian Cove and Maxwell Bay were sampled for dissolved organic carbon and nitrogen during a 2021 summer cruise. The dataset includes measurements of chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) from five stations. It was collected by the AMD_KOPRI organization.
Use Cases
- Analyze spatial variation in dissolved_organic_carbon concentrations across the five sampled stations.
- Correlate chromophoric_dissolved_organic_matter (CDOM) measurements with dissolved_organic_nutrient levels.
- Establish baseline chemical data for the Marian_Cove and Maxwell_Bay regions for future climate change studies.
Strengths
- Data collected during a dedicated 2021 summer research cruise (ANA11B).
- Includes measurements for both dissolved organic carbon and nitrogen, plus CDOM.
Limitations
- Sample size is limited to five stations.
- Temporal coverage is restricted to a single sampling event in 2021.
