Microwave Scanning Radiometer (MSR) imagery from Japan's MOS-1 and MOS-1b satellites, launched in 1987. Data was collected globally from at least ten international ground stations, including sites in Japan, Europe, Australia, Canada, Thailand, and Antarctica. The imagery focuses on atmospheric water vapor over oceans and water content in sea ice and snow cover.
Data is not freely downloadable; it must be purchased from the Remote Sensing Technology Center of Japan (RESTEC), ESA, or CCRS. The exact file formats and data structure are unknown.
