Wellar Coal Measures Geological Mapping and Paleocurrent Data

SCIOPS conducted geological mapping and sampling of the Wellar Coal Measures during the 1978-79 and 1979-80 Antarctic field seasons. The project provides detailed three-dimensional coverage of outcrops at Mt Fleming, Shapeless Mountain, and Horseshoe Mountain. Data includes paleocurrent measurements and the tracing of calcareous beds to determine the depositional environment.
