Global Daily Sea Surface Temperature Analysis for Weather Modeling

Daily operational sea surface temperature analysis produced by the UK Met Office using optimal interpolation. The dataset integrates satellite data from AVHRR, SEVIRI, GOES, IASI, and TMI sensors with in-situ ship and buoy measurements on a global 0.054-degree grid. It is produced for use as a lower boundary condition in Numerical Weather Prediction models and adheres to GHRSST GDS version 2 specifications.
