2001 to 2003 acoustic data was recorded west of the Antarctic Peninsula by 7 instruments as part of the Southern Ocean GLOBEC program. The dataset contains low-frequency (10-250 Hz) continuous samples, with a maximum volume of approximately 28 GB per instrument. It was collected by the SCIOPS organization and is situated within the Palmer Long-Term Ecological Research grid.
Data volume is significant (max ~28 GB per instrument). The raw data is stored in proprietary .bin files, which may require specialized software for decoding and analysis.
