The UK Continental Shelf is covered by a series of geological maps representing discrete stratigraphic intervals. These maps characterize the subsurface geological framework for potential aquifer-based storage, including CO₂ and hydrogen. They were produced by Lloyd’s Register and the OGA (now North Sea Transition Authority) by integrating seismic interpretation, well data, and regional geological understanding.
