Description
North Sea Transition Authority and Lloyd's Register provide a set of regional geological maps for the Southern North Sea. The dataset includes depth structure, isochores, subcrop and supercrop maps, structural elements, depositional facies, reservoir distribution, source rock, well penetration, and hydrocarbon occurrence data. It also contains PDF documents with stratigraphic and petroleum systems charts, digital sand flags (.las), and depth and thickness grids (.xyz).
Use Cases
Model subsurface depth structure based on depth structure and isochore maps.
Analyze petroleum systems based on source rock and hydrocarbon occurrence data.
Assess reservoir potential based on reservoir distribution and depositional facies maps.
Plan well trajectories based on structural elements and well penetration information.
Strengths
Includes multiple data layers such as depth structure, isochores, and facies maps.
Contains supplementary PDF documents with stratigraphic charts and explanations.
Provides digital data files like sand flags (.las) and grid files (.xyz).
Limitations
