A collection of mafic and ultramafic rocks includes abundances of phosphorus redox species and metals. The dataset contains peridotites, komatiites, and basalts from a variety of locations and ages. Results show reduced and polymerized phosphorus is present in unaltered rocks, suggesting oceanic crust can be a source of reactive phosphorus.
