USDA Forest Service RAVG data characterizes vegetation impact for all qualifying wildland fires in the conterminous U.S. since 2012. It provides standardized estimates of percent change in live basal area and canopy cover, plus a composite burn index, for fires affecting at least 1000 acres of forested National Forest land. Annual national mosaics and a combined perimeter dataset are updated regularly.
Data is provided via an ArcGIS GeoServices REST API and other geospatial formats; specific GIS tools or knowledge may be required for full use.
