Description
A study by Ana Paula Pereira investigated geopolymers synthesized from Linz Donawitz (LD) and ladle furnace (LF) steelmaking slags using an 8M potassium hydroxide solution. Specimens were produced at three solid/liquid ratios (1.2, 1.4, and 1.6 g/v) and analyzed via XRF, FTIR, TGA, SEM-FEG, and Archimedes' principle. The results indicated that the 1.6 ratio samples exhibited more cohesive appearance and higher densification.
