Bing Bai from Beijing Jiaotong University investigated the deposition characteristics of lead ions (Pb2+) in the presence of silicon powders during water seepage. The experiment used a long one-dimensional sand column, measuring concentrations of deposited materials and migration distance. Results show that silicon powders can promote or inhibit lead migration, depending on factors like particle size, concentration, and seepage velocity.
