A February 2013 multibeam survey collected full-coverage bathymetry and backscatter data in the Western Channel and Celtic Sea. The data, processed to IHO Order 1a standards with WGS84 coordinates and Chart Datum depth corrections, was delivered to Cefas and archived with MEDIN Data Archive Centres. The survey was conducted for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) Marine Conservation Zone program.
A marine survey collected full-coverage multibeam bathymetry, backscatter, and drop camera video/still images of seabed habitats. The data includes WGS84 coordinates from Differential GPS and depths corrected to Chart Datum, archived with multiple UK Marine Data Archive Centres. Survey work was conducted from January 19 to 25, 2013.
A full-coverage multibeam survey collected bathymetry and backscatter data for the Beachy Head East Marine Conservation Zone. The survey was conducted from February 20 to March 23, 2012, meeting International Hydrographic Organization Order 1a standards. Data includes georeferenced mosaics and GeoTiffs, archived with UK Marine Environmental Data and Information Network centers.
52 modern pesticides were measured in water and sediment samples from the River Tone in Somerset and the River Wensum in Norfolk. The data was collected during 2021 and 2022 as part of a PhD project, with analysis performed by the British Geological Survey using UPLC-MS/MS. Site coordinates are provided in a separate tab.
Leaf trait data for the endemic Kenyan tree Melia volkensii, collected from experimental trials in Kibwezi and Kitui. The dataset includes 11 measured traits such as leaf size, leaf mass, and isotope values for δ13C.
A collection of cleaned and harmonized household- and individual-level consumption data from the communes of Boukombé and Natitingou in northern Benin. It integrates three survey components: a 7-day food frequency questionnaire, a multi-pass 24-hour dietary recall, and a structured survey on knowledge, attitudes, and constraints related to fonio and jute mallow consumption.
The dataset synthesizes evidence from 2,916 agricultural studies conducted across Africa, containing 112,859 observations on the performance of 363 practice combinations across 87 outcome indicators. It was created by Todd Stuart Rosenstock and spans studies published from 1934 to 2024. Observations are geolocated and can be linked to environmental, economic, and social datasets.
Environmental samples from 51 dairy farms in South West England during 2017-2018 were analyzed for E. coli resistant to amoxicillin, streptomycin, cephalexin, tetracycline, and ciprofloxacin. The dataset includes farm-level antibiotic usage and other management factors related to pre-weaned calves.
A survey of the extent and species composition of deciduous woodlands in Scotland, conducted by the Institute of Terrestrial Ecology between 1976 and 1979. The data was compiled through a desk-based map search of Ordnance Survey maps followed by field ground-truthing.
Model outputs from ECOSSE simulations estimate soil organic carbon storage and emissions changes. The data was generated in 2018 using input from the Sunjia research farm in Jiangxi province, China. Simulations were performed with a spatially applied global version of the model.
Environmental Information Data Centre provides modelled average per-farm ecosystem service values for European NUTS3 regions in 2019. The dataset quantifies carbon sequestration, food production economic output, and nitrogen export, stored in vector GeoPackage files. Values were modelled for five sub-country case studies and upscaled to NUTS3 regions where evidence supported the transfer.
2018 simulations provide soil organic carbon (SOC) content data from the ECOSSE model for the Sunjia agricultural catchment in Jiangxi province, China. The dataset was generated by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and published by the Environmental Information Data Centre.
2019 surveys record the survival status and mode of death for all large trees in permanent forest plots within two Borneo reserves. Data includes individual tree IDs linkable to plot inventories. The dataset is managed by the Environmental Information Data Centre.
Soil moisture data contains daily averages of volumetric water content from prototype cosmic ray neutron sensors. Measurements were taken hourly at a centre-pivot irrigation site in Bahia, Brazil, between June and December 2023 to study data-driven irrigation optimization.
UK farmlands hosted repeat Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) measurements across four sites during the 2021 agricultural growing season. The Environmental Information Data Centre collected data in Spring, Summer, and Autumn to monitor soil resistivity changes from crop construction through post-harvest stages.
48 sampling points per time collected from a 2015-2016 field experiment manipulating soil acidity in North Wales and the Peak District. Data includes pore water chemistry, litter mass loss, and Tea Bag Index metrics from control, acid, and alkaline treatments across two soil types.
Functional trait measurements for nine tropical tree species in Sirsi, Western Ghats, India, collected during post-monsoon and summer seasons. The dataset characterizes eco-physiological limits of functioning, including thermal limits of photosystem II and hydraulic safety margins, to relate to local temperature and water conditions.
Survey results from local farmers and officials in Chinese villages during 2016–2018 to understand knowledge learning dynamics and preferences. Data were collected in rural villages of Puding County, Guizhou Province and Yujiang County, Jiangxi Province. The study was funded by UK and Chinese research grants as part of the UK–China Critical Zone Observatory.
2020-2021 data from nine farms in Tucumán, Argentina, assesses pollinator associations with commercial blueberry crops. The dataset includes measurements of insect and hummingbird abundance via transect walks and fruit set data from pollinator exclusion experiments.
Sirsi, Western Ghats, India contains time-series of pre-dawn and mid-day leaf water potentials for 10 tree species. Measurements were taken every three months over one year, from 2020 to 2021, to assess eco-physiological limits of functioning under dry conditions.
