ANTARES network's EPEA station, operated by Argentina's INIDEP, provides a long-term time series monitoring chemical, environmental, bio-optical, and biological variables in a temperate coastal ecosystem. The station, located at 38°28'S, 57°41'W on the Argentine shelf, has been operational since 2000 and joined the ANTARES network in 2003. Its data supports the study of long-term ecological changes to distinguish natural variability from anthropogenic effects.
Geochemical data from deep-sea floor sediments collected at water depths between 1300 and 2423 meters on the Lord Howe Rise and Gifford Guyot off eastern Australia. The dataset, published by Geoscience Australia, includes analyses of mineralogy, organic carbon and nitrogen concentrations, isotopic compositions, and major and trace elements. Surface sediments in the region were characterized as carbon-lean calcareous oozes.
11.6 KB of tabular data records the number of parasite individuals detected and the mean number of parasites per infected host. The dataset, authored by Emmanuela U. Anele, is structured by host species, tissue of infection, and ecological zone, with standard errors of the mean provided. It was last updated on 2026-05-19 and is available under a CC-BY-4.0 license.
A 9.5 KB Excel file lists counts of Xenopus frog specimens collected across different ecological zones in Nigeria. The dataset was authored by Emmanuela U. Anele and last updated on May 19, 2026. It is shared under a CC-BY-4.0 license on the figshare platform.
A dataset of 337 seed plant species assembled from publications, containing genetic differentiation (F ST) values from nuclear markers and associated species traits. The data was compiled by Diana Gamba at the University of Missouri–St. Louis for phylogenetic multiple regression analysis. It includes variables pertaining to species traits and the sampling scheme of each study.
A 2026 study by Geoscience Australia provides the first quantification of acorn worm abundance and trail-forming behavior within Australian waters. The data originates from two large-scale deep-sea mapping surveys along the eastern and western continental margins of Australia. It offers evidence of strong depth-related distributions for this unusual taxon, which is important for nutrient cycling in benthic environments.
The Langxi river watershed in North China is the focus of this study on groundwater dependent ecosystems (GDEs). Kairan Wang from the Shandong Provincial Water Resources Research Institute examined hydrogeology, hydrogeochemistry, and biodiversity to understand groundwater's role. Results include maps of land use, humidity, and groundwater isolines identifying GDE distribution areas.
Dougherty et al. (2024) compiled a meta-analysis dataset from 339 published studies, reporting standardized effect sizes for reproductive output and adult lifespan in 308 invertebrate species under experimental temperature manipulation. The data was extracted from a systematic literature search of Web of Science conducted in August 2021. This work was funded by multiple research councils including the Natural Environment Research Council and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council.
July 2015 boundaries for 154 definitively designated Natura 2000 sites in the Netherlands, part of the EU's network of protected areas under the Birds and Habitats Directives. The dataset includes three marine areas in the North Sea's Exclusive Economic Zone and provisional designations for two other areas. It was provided by the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.
A study comparing physiological responses to sodium chloride stress in the glycophyte Setaria viridis and the halophyte Spartina alterniflora. The research, conducted by Jemâa Essemine at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, reports specific tolerance thresholds, changes in P700 oxidation levels, NDH-dependent cyclic pathway activity, and plastid terminal oxidase (PTOX) expression under varying oxygen concentrations.
Microwave-assisted hydrodistillation extracted essential oil from Amomum subulatum seeds in 70 minutes, 50 minutes faster than conventional hydrodistillation. The yield increased from 3% to 3.35%, and the oil showed improved antibacterial and antioxidant activity. This data was contributed by Sekar Nethi of the Institute of Chemical Technology.
Flow cytometry data from a 2026 study evaluating lipid metabolism in intestinal immune cells from mice with necrotizing enterocolitis. The dataset contains measurements of lipid accumulation, peroxidation, reactive oxygen species, and fatty acid uptake for two genetically modified mouse groups, with 5 biological replicates per group. It was authored by Junyu He and shared under a CC-BY-4.0 license.
A meta-analysis synthesizing 66 published papers with 2,436 observations on forest ecosystems investigates the drivers of soil respiration response to litter inputs. The dataset, authored by Y.J. Zhang of Baoji University of Arts and Sciences, quantifies increases in respiration by forest type and stand age, and links them to changes in labile carbon and microbial biomass. It likely contains aggregated statistical results from the reviewed studies.
Berhanu Gebo from Arba Minch University surveyed mammal populations in the Faragosa Communal Forest from August to December 2019. The study recorded 685 individuals belonging to 21 species across 6 orders and 13 families, with Papio anubis and Chlorocebus aethiops identified as dominant species. Major threats documented include logging, overgrazing, deforestation, hunting, mining, and invasive plants.
Figshare data supporting research on interfacial charge distribution's role in oxygen evolution. The dataset was authored by Jinyi Yuan and last updated in May 2026. It is a 12.1 MB Excel file available under a CC-BY-4.0 license.
Genome-wide ddRAD-seq data and geometric morphometrics for a Chorthippus grasshopper complex from Greece. The 136.4 MB dataset, authored by Joaquin Ortego and last updated in April 2026, reveals cryptic diversity and semi-permeable species boundaries shaped by Pleistocene climatic oscillations. Phylogenomic analyses identify two major geographic clades separated by the Corinthian Gulf and three previously unrecognized evolutionary lineages.
A spatial inventory of known wetlands in Scotland, developed by assimilating survey data from Scottish Natural Heritage. The dataset includes polygons classified by the WFD95 wetland typology, original habitat survey information, and whether the wetland is within a statutory designated site. The data is provided as a view service and covers areas where wetland surveys have been completed and digitized.
