Mooring C collected over 15.5 million samples of ice draft, pressure, and temperature from an upward-looking sonar during a 360-day deployment. The project also gathered 318 ocean profiles of salinity and horizontal velocity, alongside over 20,000 bottom pressure records. Data was collected by the Beaufort Gyre Exploration Project from 2003 to 2004 under organization SCIOPS.
Beaufort Gyre Exploration Project Mooring B collected oceanographic and sea ice data over a 358-day deployment from 2003 to 2004. The dataset includes over 15.4 million samples of ice draft from an upward-looking sonar, 319 profiles from a moored profiler, and 20,585 samples from a bottom pressure recorder. The project was conducted by the SCIOPS organization, with data last updated in March 2005.
2003-2004 data from a mooring deployed for 362 days in the Beaufort Gyre. The dataset includes over 15.6 million samples of ice draft, pressure, and temperature from an upward-looking sonar, 180 profiles of salinity and velocity, and over 20,000 samples of bottom pressure, temperature, and salinity. It was collected by the Beaufort Gyre Exploration Project and managed by SCIOPS.
Surface underway data collected from NOAA Ship RONALD H. BROWN across the Caribbean Sea, North Atlantic Ocean, and other regions from February to December 2004. The dataset includes measurements of AIR TEMPERATURE, BAROMETRIC PRESSURE, Partial pressure of carbon dioxide in air and water, SALINITY, SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURE, and WIND SPEED. These data were collected by Rik Wanninkhof of NOAA's Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory as part of the R/V Ronald Brown 2004 Underway Data set.
420 Sudden Impulses of Solar Wind Dynamic Pressure events recorded between January 1998 and December 2004. The database includes plasma and IMF data from ACE and WIND spacecraft, AE index, and SuperDARN radar data in two-hour windows centered on each event. It was developed by SCIOPS for studying Solar-Terrestrial Relations.
South Atlantic and South Pacific Ocean records detail the distribution of whales, dolphins, and porpoises. The dataset aggregates published scientific papers, reports, sightings, strandings, and museum collections. It was compiled by SCIOPS and last updated in January 2005.
CTD sensor data from the Nathaniel B. Palmer research vessel captured temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and pressure in the Ross Sea. Measurements were collected by NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information between 2004 and 2007. This dataset supports the study of Antarctic water mass properties and seasonal changes.
CEOS_EXTRA conducted a five-year study, initiated around 2004, to inventory and assess aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) sites in south Florida. The work involved a critical review of hydrogeologic, hydraulic, and well construction data from over 30 existing ASR sites. Its objective was to establish a regional framework to guide the location and design of future ASR wells.
Temperature profile, pressure, and chemical data were collected using XBT, bottle, and CTD casts in the Arctic Ocean from May 6, 2003 to May 5, 2004. Data were collected and submitted by the Polar Science Center; Applied Physics Lab; University of Washington and Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. The dataset is archived by NOAA_NCEI.
NCEI Accession 0001285 contains oceanographic data collected via Conductivity, Temperature, and Depth (CTD) instruments deployed from helicopters or skiplanes in the Arctic Ocean. The dataset likely includes measurements of temperature, salinity, conductivity, depth, and pressure from April 2000. It is published by NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) on the NASA Earthdata platform.
NCEI Accession 0144250 contains surface underway data collected by the research vessel MIRAI in the Indian Ocean, Mozambique Channel, and South Atlantic Ocean from December 2003 to January 2004. The dataset includes measurements of air temperature, barometric pressure, partial pressure of carbon dioxide in air and water, salinity, sea surface temperature, wind direction, and wind speed. These data were collected by Akihiko Murata of JAMSTEC using carbon dioxide gas analyzers and equilibrators as part of the CLIVAR_I03I04_2003_Underway data set.
