A catalogue of species-level reference genomes assembled from gut metagenomes of 116 human individuals. The dataset contains relative abundance data for these genomes across 116 Indonesians and 109 Singaporeans, as analyzed in a 2025 Cell Reports study. The samples were collected from 8 communities across the Indonesian archipelago representing hunter-gatherer, agricultural, and urban lifestyles.
A 2011-2017 compilation of surveys funded by INPEX, NTG-DENR, Geoscience Australia, and AIMS provides predicted seabed gravel content for Darwin and Bynoe Harbour. The dataset contains spatially continuous predictions of seabed %gravel (>2000 µm) content in 10 m resolution raster grids and ASCII text format. Predictions are based on 395 samples and 14 environmental variables derived from high-resolution multibeam sonar data.
Vegetation, biomass, and environmental data from species-rich grassland communities used to analyze how dominant and non-dominant species groups respond to environmental gradients. The 44.1 KB dataset was created by Grzegorz Swacha and colleagues for a study published in the Journal of Vegetation Science. Data files are in CSV format and were last updated on May 12, 2026.
The Darwin Harbour Habitat Mapping Program provides a predicted seabed sand content grid for the greater Darwin Harbour region. This dataset contains spatially continuous predictions of seabed %sand (63-2000 µm) content derived from 395 samples and seven environmental variables from high-resolution multibeam sonar data. The grid is presented in 10 m resolution raster format and supersedes previous predictions with demonstrated improvements in predictive accuracy.
Floodplain mapping data contains modeled flood levels for 10 specific design flood events, including 1 in 10 AEP and Probable Maximum Flood. The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation produced this dataset for providing development advice related to major river flooding. It covers over 20 specific river systems and townsites across Western Australia.
2026-03-24 updated geospatial dataset from the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation defines flood boundaries for 20 distinct event types, including 1-in-10 to 1-in-500 Annual Exceedance Probability floods. It covers 17 specific river systems and townsites in Western Australia, such as the Avon, Blackwood, and Fitzroy Rivers, to inform floodplain development advice.
A predicted seabed mud content grid for the greater Darwin Harbour region in northern Australia. The dataset provides spatially continuous predictions of seabed percentage mud content at a 10-meter resolution, derived from 395 samples and nine environmental variables collected between 2011 and 2017. This resource was created by Geoscience Australia, the Australian Institute of Marine Science, and the Northern Territory Government's Department of Environment and Natural Resources to underpin marine resource management.
TERN Surveillance Monitoring data lists vegetation strata and the three most dominant plant species per stratum at rangeland sites across Australia. The data was collected by the Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network using standardised AusPlots methodologies. The dataset was last updated on 2026-06-13.
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center data from 2,526 breast cancer patients was used to classify tumor ecosystem subtypes based on somatic mutation profiles via a network propagation algorithm. The study, authored by Ke Ding and last updated in May 2026, found distinct prognostic and therapeutic response patterns between subtypes. The subtyping method was also validated across 20 other cancer cohorts.
EcoMon is the NOAA Northeast Fisheries Science Center Ecosystem Monitoring program for the Northeast U.S. continental shelf. The program's main objective is hydrography and zooplankton sampling along the Mid-Atlantic and New England coasts. Funding was provided by the NOAA JPSS PGRR program, and methodology is detailed in the peer-reviewed Turner et al., 2021 publication.
Fungi occurrence and abundance data collected at rangeland sites across Australia by the TERN Surveillance Monitoring team. The data is gathered using the standardised AusPlots Point Intercept method, allowing for the calculation of relative abundance and ground cover. The dataset was last updated on 2026-06-13.
CSIRO National Collections and Marine Infrastructure processed CTD data from 83 deployments during the RV Investigator voyage IN2024_V03 in May 2024. The data, collected between Hobart and Sydney, includes measurements from primary sensors for conductivity, temperature, depth, dissolved oxygen, and auxiliary sensors for chlorophyll-a and other parameters. Automated quality control was applied, and final calibrations met specified precision targets.
A study commissioned by Viceroy's Brewery Creek Mine and MERG investigates biological detoxification of cyanide in spent ore heaps in Arctic environments. Microbial Technologies Inc. conducted the research to assess feasibility for the Yukon Territory, comparing bacterial degradation to conventional hydrogen peroxide treatment. The dataset likely contains results from microbial enumeration, culturing, and column studies comparing detoxification methods.
Australian rangeland sites were surveyed by the TERN Surveillance Monitoring team. Landform characteristics were observed using standardised AusPlots methodologies. The dataset was last updated on 2026-06-13.
Plankton biodiversity and oceanographic data were collected during the Tara Oceans expedition, a 2.5-year global voyage covering 57,000 miles. The dataset provides a global-scale snapshot of morphological, genetic, and functional plankton diversity in relation to changing ocean parameters. The expedition was led by a consortium of scientists and organized by NASA, with fieldwork occurring from September 2009 to March 2012.
Government of Yukon researchers collected 238 soil and plant samples from three reclaimed gold mine properties in Yukon First Nations territories. The project examined total, inorganic, and organic arsenic concentrations in nine ethnobotanical species using ICP-MS and AAS instrumentation. Findings indicate low arsenic uptake in berries but elevated concentrations in lichen, mushrooms, and medicinal shrubs near point sources.
5,733 population-level range-shift observations for 1,096 bird species, combined with a global avian innovation dataset. The data, created by cong yu and last updated in April 2026, supports analysis of how behavioural plasticity influences species' ability to track climate change across latitudinal and elevational gradients.
NOAA-20 VIIRS VJ143MA2 Version 2 provides daily Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function and albedo quality data at 1-kilometer resolution, synthesized from a 16-day observation window. It uses the RossThick/Li-Sparse-Reciprocal kernel-driven model to correct directional reflectance and compute black-sky and white-sky albedo, supporting continuity with NASA's MODIS BRDF/Albedo product suite. The dataset includes 23 Science Dataset layers covering band quality, observation days, land/water flags, snow class, and uncertainty metrics.
Sediment weights, calculated fluxes, and vegetation transects collected at sites related to the Smokehouse Creek Fire. The dataset was authored by Abinash Bhattachan and is available under a CC-BY-4.0 license. It was last updated on June 1, 2026.
A secreted protease from the Actinobacterium Salinispora mooreana exhibits antiphage activity against Siphoviridae phages. The data, authored by Ehud Herbst and last updated in May 2026, suggests an extracellular mechanism where the protease reduces phage titers and increases the proportion of DNA-devoid phage particles. Phages can escape this effect through mutations in a tail-associated protein.
