Microbial swab samples from the SpaceX Inspiration4 mission's four private astronauts, collected from ten oral, nasal, and skin body sites. The samples were taken at eight timepoints before, during, and after the 3-day low Earth orbit mission in September 2021. DNA and RNA were extracted to generate paired metagenomic and metatranscriptomic profiles, with nuclease-free water controls sequenced alongside.
A 35-day spaceflight experiment aboard the ISS investigated the effects of microgravity on mouse ocular tissues. The dataset from NASA includes results from micro-computed tomography, immunostaining, and histology assays, showing changes in gene expression, photoreceptor integrity, and oxidative stress. Analysis identified 600 differentially expressed genes and significant thinning of retinal layers.
CPQ-Brasil internal validity evidence database contains data from 459 participants recruited from different regions of Brazil. The dataset was created by Gabrieli Cruz to investigate the psychometric properties of the Computer Proficiency Questionnaire – Brazilian version. It was last updated on 2026-04-16.
NASA's Rodent Research-3 mission collected brain tissue from 20 female BALB/c mice flown to the ISS for 39-42 days, with matched ground and basal controls. Brain hemispheres were processed to generate spatially resolved transcriptional profiles via 10X Visium arrays and single-nuclei RNA-seq and ATAC-seq data via the 10X Multiome protocol. Bulk RNA-seq was also performed on pooled RNA from brain sections of three flight and three ground control samples.
Feces samples from 48 sham-treated mice involved in the Rodent Research-6 mission, which launched on SpaceX-13 in December 2017. DNA was extracted and sequenced to profile the gut microbiome of mice exposed to 29 or >50 days of microgravity on the International Space Station, with corresponding ground control and baseline groups. The data was collected by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and last updated in March 2026.

An epigenome-wide exploratory study investigating associations between blood DNA methylation at approximately 730,000 CpG sites and three physical performance indicators—estimated VO₂max, grip strength, and vertical jump height. The dataset, authored by Ferenc Torma and last updated in April 2026, contains results from analyses adjusted for age, sex, and blood cell composition, with participants stratified by cardiovascular fitness levels. No significant single-CpG associations were found, but differential methylation was identified at three specific sites and in several regions when comparing fitness groups.
A cohort of healthy adults was analyzed for associations between blood DNA methylation at approximately 730,000 CpG sites and three physical fitness indicators: estimated VO₂max, grip strength, and vertical jump height. The dataset contains results from epigenome-wide association analyses adjusted for age, sex, and blood cell composition, authored by Ferenc Torma and last updated in April 2026. No significant single-CpG associations were found, but differential methylation was identified when participants were stratified by VO₂max norms.
